About Us

Hello gorgeous! Sue’s Salon is a gift for your hair! “Only your hairdresser knows for sure!”, and Sue Passafaro surely knows how to make every client that walks in the door feel wonderful and uplifted, and leave feeling beautiful, (or handsome). Her knowledge, skills and experience of the beauty industry combined with her sensitivity to her clients’ visions come together to give each and every client a successful, exciting outcome. At a young age, witnessing bad hair days and Mommy’s “at home” haircuts for a family with 5 children, inspired Sue to go off to beauty school. Sue soared to the head of the class with her enthusiasm for the hair styling world! Opening her own salon was a natural path for Sue. Having grown up in Harrison, Sue Passafaro knew that was it her haven and mission to beautify her peers, family, and new comers. Hence, the opening of her first salon, Sue’s Hair Place in Mamaroneck, NY in 1977. With her continued strong work ethic, Sue’s business grows larger daily. Not only is Sue a talented hair stylist and beauty consultant, she possesses a heart of gold in a day and age of “get this customer shampooed, cut, and out the door!”. Sue always makes time for that extra touch that means so much so her clients, and she makes sure her stylists do the same. She is a wonderful listener and always remembers and complies with her clients’ requests. She’s a great life problem solver, it’s not just about hair situations for Sue! On many occasions, Sue Passafaro has made house calls for elderly customers and hospital visits when primping is much needed to cheer someone up! Ms. Passafaro always tries to accommodate the last-minute beauty emergencies and greets latecomers with a smile. Laughter abounds in her shop and her clients always return. Have you ever known a hair salon owner notifying her clients that she will be out of the shop so they should plan their appointments accordingly? This is just another example of Sue’s exemplary customer service. Sue strives to go beyond her customers’ expectations and what more could you ask for?
